2	Participation of GFI's representatives in Professor VahabZadeh's speech	4/Sep.2001	GFI's representatives participated in this program that was held in Recycle Center of Tehran on the invitation of Tehran 's municipality. The speech was about urbanization and public participation
3	Participation in Peace Seminar	11/Sep.2001	Some members of GFI participated in Peace and humanitarian views, in Tehran on the occasion of International Peace Day
4	GFI participation in Youth Earth Summit 2001 (YES2001)	2 – 9 Sep 2001	Green Front of Iran representative, with other youth delegates from different organizations around the world participated in an international event with the name of Youth Earth Summit in Baku – Azerbaijan . During the summit participants exchanged their ideas and experiences and discussed about different issues of sustainable development in workshops and group discussions and from the beginning all of them emphasized on this point that the results should be really practical. At the end of the summit delegates wrote a declaration which was the result of four main working groups: Discussion, Design, Campaign and Repair; as a working plane for participants and a recommendation for Earth Summit ( Johannesburg – 2002).
5	Participation in workshops in Bangkok	11/Sep.2001	Dr. Moattari, Managing Director of Green Front of Iran left Tehran in order to Participate in Two workshops in Bangkok , held by UN, for assessing the implementation of Agenda 21 in national and international levels.
6	GFI Organizational Environment Analysis	14/Sep.	Some of GFI member analysis the activity of GFI in order to planning effective program.
7	Environmental Impact Assessment workshop	16-17 Sep.	EPO of Iran held an environmental Impact Assessment workshop for GFI's members. Also the participants in this workshop become familiar with ISO 14000 and Public Awareness UN program.
8	Last session of the first aid classes	22/Sep.	The second series of the first aid classes, which was with the cooperation of Red C resent of Iran , was finished. These classes held in GFI's office and for some members of GFI who had been registered in this course. The duration of it was 1.5 months.
9	Broadcasting a letter to Iran's daily news papers on behalf of a group of Citizen's of Karaj(a city at West of Tehran)	26/Sep.98	GFI broadcasted a letter on behalf of a group of citizens of Karaj, in order to reflect the environmental problems of that region and asking the officials to solve the problem. It was about environmental problems caused by the sewage of Ghezel-Hesar prison in that area and also the problems in the collection of the wastes and garbage.
10	GFI's managing director participation in Busheher+4 Seminar in Meshed	26-27/Sep.	GFI's managing director (Dr.Seyamak Moattari) Participated in the two days Bushehr+4 Seminar as the representative of Green Front of Iran. This Seminar was held by one of Iranian NGOs by the name of Hamyaran-n-Ghada.GFI's managing director represented an essay about the relation between NGOs and government in Iran
11	Mountain Clean-up Program	28.Sep.	On the occasion of the Clean Mountain Day, there was a ceremony at the Dareke Valley, on the North-west of Tehran. The aim of this program was informing and awaring people about the mountains and the culture of alpinism. During this program more than 500 people get involved directly in this activity through distribution of special brochures in 5 different stations on their paths while there was also indirect training for more than 1000 people. In addition, a great amount of garbage was collected from the environment by the help of alpinist. After gathering the brochures that were containing some environmental questions, in the last station; the whole program was assessed by GFI.
12	The presence of GFI representative in GEF/SGP workshop of Project design	1/Oct.2001	One of GFI members has participated in this workshop, which was held in UNDP's office in Tehran by one of e-NGOs. In this workshop the participants learned how to write project for GEF.
13	Assessing the program of Clean Mountain	3/Oct.2001	There was a session in GFI's office with the presence of the executive group of Clean Mountain day program. There was a statistical study on the whole activity and its feedback and also the establishment of a follow up committee to have studies on the results of the program.
14	Green Front of Iran & the Child Festival	5/Oct.200	There was a child festival in one of the southern part of Tehran, a region that is the colony of wanderer children. This was on the occasion of the Child International Day, and with the help of (The Society of Children's Rights). Five members of GFI participated in this event and held painting competition for these children with some presents for them.
15	Assessing the problems caused by garbage	6/Oct.2001	GFI's managing director participated in Shemiranat (a region in North of Tehran) Health Council for in the mountains at North of Tehran GFI suggested the public participation of local communities in the establishment of a solid waste management system in mountainous region as a solution.
16	Child & Nature Festival	12/Oct.2001	GFI participated in Child and Nature festival which was held in Darabad Wild Life Museum in Tehran. The organization held a painting competition in a tent with the subject of "if the oil runs out..." that was in response to the global invitation of Peace Child Foundation. There were also other interesting programs for children like theaters, playing musics and singing songs for children, that all done by members of GFI.
17	Publication of 20th issue of GFI's newsletter	13/Oct.2001	This is the newsletter of Oct which is in 8 pages, its print is black and white and it is sent to all the GFI's members plus some officials and ministers
18	GFI's managing director attend in SGP/GEF workshop	17.18/Oct.2001	Managing director of GFI participated in SGP/GEF workshop for NGOs in Shiraz as the representative of National Steering Committee of GEF
19	Participation in Q&A session in DOE about the ratifications of 20th gathering of Environmental Protections Councils	18/Oct.2001	This session was held in DOE with the presence of MRS.Ebtekar and other high ranking officials of this department and the question of GFI's representative was:Is there any idea for the public participation in implementing in such ratifications?
20	Educational workshop for students	18/Oct.2001	This workshop was held in the frame work of environmental public participation center project for the students of a school in Tehran and it was about the air pollution and the ways that students suggested to solve this problem
21	Workshop facilitation educating session	23/oct.2001	Five members of GFI participated in this session for capacity building purposes
22	Managing Director's trip to Qazvin	24,25/Oct.2001	Holding the capacity workshop for women NGOs in Qazvin on the invitation of Interior Ministry
23	The first Green Office Workshop	30/Oct.2001	This workshop was for the staff of public relation and social department of Tehran's Municipality (region 7). The aim of this workshop was to introduce the perfect and suitable consumption patterns in the offices.
24	Project Methodology Workshop	5,7/Nov.2001	This workshop was for the introduction of RUP (Rational Unified Process). The aim of this workshop was for capacity building of active members of GFI who are interested in project writing. MR. Shahryar Eivazzadeh presented this issue who is one of the active members.
25	The second aid cargo is now in Golistan	10/November 2001	After two months from the flood disaster in Golestan Province (North of Iran),the second cargo of aids was sent to the region. It consisted of clothes, blankets, foods and also 50 portable heaters. Most of them has been bought with the financial aids that were collected from a group of graduates of Alborz High School in Tehran who now live in U.S.A. The Earth Rescue Group of GFI is in charge for its collection and sending it to the region. There is still a small amount of the financial aids that the ERG group is now trying to find the urgent needs of the victims specially at the beginning of the cold season, in order to buy them with that reminded money, so the third cargo will also be sent soon.
26	Workshop for students about Waste	15/November 2001	The second training workshop for students in this year ( according to Iranian Educational Calendar), was held on 15/Nov.2001 for the students in the third grade of the primary school, in one of the Tehran's schools. In this workshop three main questions have been asked from students: what is waste? what are different kinds of waste? what can you do as the children of this country to save the earth from this garbage? Then for a few minutes they thought about the questions. They are separated in different working groups and they are going to find in their neighborhood those that produce more waste than the normal rate in a month according to some criteria that they have given by the facilitators. The facilitators of this workshop were three volunteer members of GFI.
27	Proposal writing workshop	21/November	For the first time proposal writing workshop was held in Tehran's municipality (region 7) . Green Front of Iran was in charge for holding this workshop. The target groups were the staff especially the employees of Public Relation Section.
28	The third course of First Aid classes	3-6 Dec.2001	The third course of First Aid classes is started now in GFI office. Since 3rd of December. This will be a course for 50 hours on Monday and Thursday of each weak
29	Establishment of a Caspian Ecosystem working group in GFI	9-13/Dec	This group has been established with the aim of analyzing the status quo of Caspian Sea and by emphasizing on its geological and cultural history of this Sea and also analyzing its problems, find their priorities. Seven members of GFI ( who are environmental experts) are members of this working group.
30	Proposal writting workshop in Tehran's Municipality	17/Dec.2001	The second proposal writing workshop for the staffs of Public Affairs department of Tehran's municipality (region 7. Eight staffs participated in this workshop. The trainer of this workshop was the managing director of GFI. The trainees then prepared their proposals according to what they had learned in the first session of this workshop and submitted in the first session of this workshop and submitted it to the trainers so they corrected their mistakes with the help of them.
31	Training workshop for children about air pollution	19/Dec. 2001	Training workshop on air pollution has been held for students (3rd grade of primary school) in one of Tehran's schools. It has been tried to encourage the students to introduce and find out the air pollution problems. Then each group of students drew some paintings or wrote sentences about environmental pollutants and also their suggestions about this problem. The trainers of this workshop were 5 members of GFI. At the end the best drawings won some awards.
32	Blood donation	21/Dec. 2001	Every year in Ramadan, there is a real shortage of Blood in Blood Transfer Organization. Therefore many serious surgeries are being postponed, for lack of this vital resource that puts patients in high risk. The Earth Rescue Group of Green Front of Iran invited all volunteers to come to GFI office on Friday, Dec. 21 on 9:30 a.m. to donate blood to Blood Transfer Organization. It is so possible that the ERG of GFI repeat this activity in future for several times. The news of this activity has been broadcasted to all newspapers.
33	E- NGO meeting on the path of Johannesburg	31 Dec.2001	Following the regional prepcom of Asia and Pacific in Kambodia and the participation of Iranian representatives, the Iranian delegation (including both NGO and nongovernmental section) held a gathering to represent their report and experiences to their audience. The spoke persons were Dr. Moattari (managing director of GFI) , Miss Mahsa Nikoopayan( Managing director of Hameyan Andishe Sabz), Dr. Maroofi(DOE), Mr. Asadi( Program and Budget Organization).
